I’m overjoyed to announce that my first novel, The Moon King, has been sold by my agent, John Jarrold to Ian Whates of the excellent Newcon Press. The book will be published in hardback, paperback and ebook formats in April 2014. I’m proud of this book. It’s my first attempt at a novel and it’s taken a lot of hard work to get it to where it is now, so it’s gratifying to see it come together.
It’s a long road til April, and more details will appear as and when, but for now I’m really looking forward to working with Ian again. Newcon have included several of my stories in their beautiful anthologies and I know they’ll make an amazing job of the novel.
Congratulations! Well deserved.
Congrats, amigo–I remember you telling me about this ages ago, and can’t wait to finally read it!
Ta, Paul!
And, Jesse, yup, way back in San Jose. When we were both young (well you were) and not as resembling of the Grossbarts as we (I) are now. 😀
2 Thumbs up Neil!
Excellent! Much looking forward to reading it, Neil.
SHRIEK! HOORAY! What fantastic news! I can’t wait to get a copy! (Though of course I shall wait.)
Yay! Much thanks.
Amal – you don’t have to wait. I’ll give you the gist next time I see you.
Well done. Hard work does get you somewhere. Wish I was as committed.
It’s not all been done alone, Scott. I’ve had help from a great writers group, among others over the years. But the biggest thing for me is making it into a habit – I write every day. Eventually it builds into something.
Congratulations Neil! Fantastic news!! Where do I order???
Cheers, Mark. All that’s to come. And don’t worry, I’ll let everyone know when, how and where.
That’s awesome! Well done! I will look forward to buying a copy.
Thanks George. Ages to wait yet though. AGES.
The first of many, no doubt! Huge congratulations!
Thanks, Chris. Fingers crossed, etc.
