In two weeks’ time I’ll be heading down to Birmingham for the annual Eastercon convention. As always I’m looking forward to four days of hanging about and nerding out. If you’re looking for me, I’ll be on a couple of panels on the Saturday: Industrial Landscapes in SF and Fantasy in the morning, followed by Hauntology later on.

I’ll also be at the BSFA Awards ceremony on the Sunday evening, more than likely scrunched up in a knot of crossed digits as Blood In The Bricks contests an outstanding shortlist in the Best Collection category.
But before all that, Friday at 6pm is the time slot for the traditional NewCon Press book launch. And this year it features my novella, The Packet. So, if you’re at Eastercon and you fancy the idea of a historical Scottish sea voyage sci-fi adventure (with a wonderfully dramatic Vincent Sammy cover), come along and pick one up! (If you’re not at the con, you can still pre-order one from the NewCon website right now, if it takes your fancy).

Otherwise, I’ll be mooching around the con looking for someone to chat to. Come say hi!
