So, you’ve done all your Christmas shopping, crammed half of Tesco’s into your freezer, trimmed the tree, wrapped the pressies and performed a complex mathematical analysis of the Radio Times in order to programme the PVR to make sure you don’t miss anything important on the telly over the next couple of weeks. Now you can sit back and enjoy it all, right? Wrong. Look at the Radio Times again. Your highlighter’s barely made a mark between now and Christmas Eve. What to do?!
Never fear, here’s a couple of suggestions:
Tonight, Monday, 13thNote from 9pm (£5): Fur Hood, Stevie Jackson, Woodenbox, San Fran & The Siscos and The Sirens Of Titan Choir. Gonna be some great music at this one, and it’s for charity too.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, Fressh (Cochrane St, just along form the south east corner of George Square) from730pm: WordDogs : The BITE Before Christmas. WordDogs Christmas show. Seasonal spoken word entertainment bringing an extra twist to your Christmas crackers. Laughs, ultraviolence, santa caught in a variety of uncompromising positions and genuine Victorian sentimentality (sort of). Recommend the coffee and seasonal cupcakes.
Save the telly for later, get out and get some real entertainment .

I dunno, WordDogs clashes with the celebrity edition of “Come Dine With Me”, and one of the celebs is Gary Gibson lookalike David Gest.
I’m sure you have some means of recording it, Ian.
(But seriously, that’s cruel – and I don’t think *terribly* accurate)
No, it’s true it’s on Channel 4 at 9pm.
No, I mean about the Gest-Gibson lookielikey thing.
Well, I have to concede that they are less lookielikey now as Gest seems to be sporting something that looks like a stunted red Mohican, but the truth is that I like both of them.
