All of a sudden it’s that time of year again. Eastercon is in two weeks time. It’s a convention I always enjoy because I get to see lots of friends from various parts of the country (and the world).
So, who’s going to be in Birmingham this year then?
I’ll be arriving Saturday morning and leaving some time on the Sunday – can’t afford the hotel for the whole weekend, and can’t really afford the time. I do enjoy Eastercon, though.
That makes me happy! Can I book you for some decent beer/chat time this year? (I’ll even bring the travel scrabble set if you want?)
I’ll be there!
Brilliant!
(I was getting the feeling on twitter this morning that there were going to be some disappointing absences, and getting a little down about it).
We won’t be, alas – will be raising a pint of real ale in yr general direction from deepest Devon…
You know I had to “approve” that comment to make it show up here. And I don’t approve. I don’t approve AT ALL.
You newly weds. With your “love” and all that stuff. I don’t know.
Be sure and have a good time though.
I won’t be there either, alas. But, I’ve bought my ticket for FantasyCon in Brighton. 🙂
Well, I suppose I’ll just have to go to Brighton as well then.
You’ll forgive me for being disappointed for now though.
Aw Neil, so sweet. 😀
Easter is one of those holidays that’s very hard to block off as ‘yours’ every single year.
Yeah, I know. Especially when one’s partner isn’t that interested in joining you. Oddly, mine claims to look forward to getting me out of the house for a few days, and always texts me at some point to tell me she’s doing something much more fun. 😀
Yeah, I’m going to be at Fcon as usual this year, and am contemplating Alt Fiction too, so hopefully catch up at one if not the other.
will be there, looking forward to seeing you!
(and arg–two weeks, really?)
Yup. Two weeks (and one day) til we go head to head for the public vote. It could get ugly!
ps I need to talk recipes with you at some point.
It could get ugly!
It might, but surely we’re all reasonable people? 🙂
On the surface, sure…
And would love the recipe talk.
Great!
I wish. Time and money as usual are refusing to be in the same room together. Enjoy yourself – and good luck at the BFSA awards.
Sucks, Jim. And thanks.
Oops – and good luck at the BSFA awards to you too, Aliette. Ahem.
*Waves* Will be there too! And *two weeks* *panics* 😀
Excellent, Suzanne. 😀
I’ll not be there, sadly. I’ve got work on the Monday.
Have a good one.
And….
Best of luck
Work? On Easter Monday? What has the education system come to?
And thanks!
