That old saw magic

It’s that time of year again where a young man finds himself carrying a piano up and down the old streets of Auld Reekie in search of some punters to weird out with the aid of his saw wielding sidekick. In short, the Edinburgh Fringe is nearly upon us and, as has become the custom in recent years, de Saw & Finkle are going to be busy dropping in for short stints at the great and good cabaret venues around the city.

Except, this year, more so.

Tuesday 7th August, 7.15pm : Kabarett, Voodoo Rooms Speakeasy

Tuesday 7th, midnight : Midnight Kabarett, Voodoo Rooms Speakeasy

Monday 13th, midnight : Midnight Kabarett, Voodoo Rooms Speakeasy

Thursday 16th, 10pm : Gutter Lane, Jekyll & Hide.

Saturday 18th, 10pm : Bongo Club Cabaret, Bongo Club.

That’s the cabaret spots for now (although more may be added later).

The other thing, is the *big* thing:

“Markee de Saw & Bert Finkle present: Israphel’s Book. A story of song and fire, dreams and lies.”

This is our secret show. A 45 minute musical meander that attempts to uncover the real story of de Saw and Finkle. This limited production is on at the Voodoo Rooms Speakeasy at 7.15pm on the following dates only: 8th, 15th, 22nd August (all Wednesdays), and is made possible by the kind permission (and gentle urgings) of the wonderful people at Itsy.

It’s the first time we’ve written a proper long work, so it’s exciting for us. We hope it will be for the audience too.

PLEASE NOTE – if you really want to come and see Israphel’s Book, it’s Free Fringe so you can’t book tickets. Please get there early to avoid disappointment.
