I know what you’ve been thinking. You’ve been thinking: it’s been aaaaages since I saw Markee & Bert. You know, with the singing and the stories and saw? Yeah. So, you’ll no doubt be beside yourself to learn that over the next month we’ll be All Over The Shop (technically, just Glasgow and Edinburgh but it feels like a world tour).
Anyway, here’s what we’re up to. Be great to see you along.
Electric Tales, Edinburgh, Tuesday May 12th.
Our first time performing at this excellent night dedicated to all forms of story telling.
Israphel’s Book, Glasgow, Sunday May 17th
A rare chance to see our 50 min show. It’s been tweaked a little since its last outing too. This performance is part of the Southside Fringe which runs from the 8th to the 24th of May. You may also find us playing with The Creative Martyrs during their SSF shows: Tales From A Cabaret and An Hour Long Sinister Wink… and if you missed either of these shows during their Edinburgh Fringe runs over the years this may be a unique opportunity to catch them.
Kabakunst, Hidden Door, Edinburgh, May 26th
The Martyrs are also curating an evening event at Edinburgh’s secretive arts festival, Hidden Door. This one is a collaborative event featuring many familiar faces from Glasgow’s cabaret scene, and we’re really looking forward to playing a part in it.
Sinister Wink, Glasgow, May 31st
As if that weren’t enough, after all the hurly-burly of the Southside Fringe is over, were back at The Bungo for the regular monthly dose of snark and dark.
Spangled Cabaret, Glasgow, June 8th
And it feels like yonks since we’ve played Spangled. So we’re back to our spiritual home in June.
That’s it, I think, for now. As always, keep watching our Facebook page for all the news.
