This month sees the publication of a new anthology that celebrates the centenary of Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity. In I Am Because You Are editors Pippa Goldschmidt and Tania Hershman have assembled an exceptional array of contributions from fiction authors and science writers who explore the profound extents to which the ramifications of Albie’s big idea have affected both our understanding of the universe and our culture.
It was a pleasure to be able to contribute a small something to the book, and I’m very much looking forward to reading the whole thing, beautifully packaged as it is by Freight Books.
And there are some excellent events coming up where you can hear contributors talking about and reading from their work and get your hands on a copy.
October 15th, 7pm: Royal Observatory Greenwich. A reading and panel discussion chaired by Marek Kukula **EDIT: This event has unfortunately been cancelled. It may reappear in the new year though.
November 9th, 7pm: Launch party at Looking Glass Books in Edinburgh. I’ll be at this one, as will many of the contributors. Hope you can join us. EDIT: This event now takes place at the Wash Bar on the Mound.
