Got a few Glasgow-based gig type things on the immediate horizon for those that are interested in such things.
First up, de Saw & Finkle have a couple of cabaret gigs:
- On Saturday 27th we’re excited to be appearing at the Gatsby Club’s Worlds Of Tomorrow (7.30pm, Glasgow University Union, £14), which this time around turns its theme to how the 1920s dreamed of the future. We’ll be unveiling a bespoke set created for this event, and we’re very excited about it.
- On Sunday 28th, we’ll be joining our friends The Creative Martyrs at this month’s Sinister Wink (7.30pm, The Bungo Bar, Nithsdale Road, donations). Also on the bill will be burly/carny chops from Kim Khaos and wry Glaswegian poetry from Kevin Gilday. And the Martyrs themselves, of course.
And I’ve got a reading event on the horizon too:
- On Friday October 3rd, I’m taking part in The Speculative Bookshop (8pm, Old Hairdresser’s, Renfield Lane, suggested donation £3). I’ve heard great things about this night and am looking forward to lining up alongside Adam Murphy, John Lees, Leo Glaister, Chris Kelso and the always amazing Hal Duncan. I’ve done quite a lot of Moon King readings recently, so maybe I’ll do something different for this one. If you’re into offbeat and unique underground fiction, this is the place to be.
That’s it for now. There’ll be more in October, but I’ll broadcast that nearer the time.
